  • ½ pound flank steak, sliced into 1/2 inch strips
  • 4 tortillas, corn or flour
  • ½ red pepper, sliced
  • ½ green pepper, sliced
  • ½ yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • ½ cup romaine lettuce, shredded
  • ½ medium tomato, diced
  • ¼ cup shredded cheese
Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ⅛ teaspoon chili powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cumin
  • salt+pepper
  • 1 pound flank steak, sliced into 1/2 inch strips

  • 2 avocados, sliced
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, shredded

Instructions

  1. Start by slicing the peppers and onion into strips and dicing the tomato and avocado (scroll down for how-to videos)
  2. Next, slice the steak into thin strips
  3. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add in the steak and season with salt + pepper. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the meat is no longer fully pink.
  4. Next, add the peppers and onions into the pan with the steak. Season liberally with cumin, chili powder, and salt + pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the veggies develop some color.
  5. Reduce heat to low and cook until the meat is fully cooked, peppers are soft, and onions are translucent
  6. Warm up the tortillas and grab the rest of the ingredients (avocado, tomato, cheese, and lettuce). Plate everything together, start assembling your fajitas, and dig in!

Tips & Tricks

  • To bring out the flavor, squeeze a lime or lemon slice on your dish
  • For added spice, bring out your favorite hot sauce or salsa
  • Add a dollop of sour cream as a tangy, refreshing finish. Better yet Greek yogurt for a low calorie, high protein substitute.
  • Added flare: use fresh cilantro or parsley to garnish
